Swedish Massage
The most popular massage, this technique incorporates long gliding strokes with small amounts of pressure. Relaxation, improved circulation and stress reduction are just a few benefits.
Aromatherapy Massage
Essential oils can be blended with carrier oil or lotion specifically for you to enhance your mood and relax or energize you. Massaged on the body, these oils enter the bloodstream via the skin, helping to alleviate stress and speed up healing. Many of these oils have antiviral, anti fungal and antiseptic properties. These oils can affect heart rate, stress level, blood pressure, breathing, memory, digestion, and the immune system.
Raindrop Therapy
Combines the art of aromtherapy and the techniques of Vita Flex and massage in the application of essential oils to various areas of the body. This treatment provides a revolutionary means of bringing balance to the body; physically, mentally and emotionally. Beneficial during seasonal changes, this treatment will assist warding off bacteria, viruses and other unwelcome microorganisms. The synergistically combined oils kill viral agents and reduce inflammation, stimulating self healing.
Deep Tissue Massage
Addresses contracted muscles, trigger points, overworked muscles and areas where you "feel tension or pain". This is accomplished by using slow strokes, applying pressure and Deep Tissue techniques.
Sports Massage
For the athlete, this massage is for pre-event, post-event, during training and to expedite rehabilitation after injury. It also increases flexibility, reducing adhesions and some degree of scar tissue formations while providing overall muscle balance. This massage maintains a more consistent and higher level of training and performance.
Neuromuscular Therapy
Also called trigger point myotherapy, this massage consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on areas of muscle contractions due to spasm. Soft tissue injuries including muscle strains can be treated decreasing your pain and balancing your central nervous system. Your tight muscles should remain noticeably more relaxed for four to fourteen days following treatment, depending on stress, activity level, and severity of pain prior to beginning massage therapy.
CORE Myofascial Therapy
This full body treatment mobilizes the myofascial network, improving structural and functional potentials. Your therapist provides deep, slow pressure at a 45 degree angle to feel the fascial tissues beneath the skin. This massage can increase your resiliency, flexibility, balance and awareness.
Myoskeletal Alignment Technique
Treat chronic soft tissue pain with this deep tissue therapeutic approach. Some benefits include decreasing pain, increasing flexibility and improving posture by mobilizing joints through muscle manipulation. Your therapist will assess painful neck, low back, shoulder, arm, and hand conditions looking for A.R.T. (Asyemmetry, Restriction of motion and Tissue texure abnormality). Familiarity with muscle balance strain problems including upper and lower crossed syndromes allows your therapist to go directly to the source of the postural problem, test for A.R.T. and correct the dysfunction. Can be integrated into your massage or enjoy a full M.A.T. session (wear shorts).
Active Isolated Stretching
Improve flexibility and help alleviate problems associated with many over-use injuries such as carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, lower back problems, and other ailments resulting from a lack of flexibility. Each technique involves the method of holding each stretch for only two seconds. This method of stretching is also known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscles, joints and fascia. A.I.S. allows the body to repair itself and also to prepare for daily activity. Can be integrated into your massage or enjoy a full A.I.S. session (wear shorts).
Ayurvedic Massage
Incorporates the knowledge of prana (vital life force energy) as well as it's pathways of circulation, nourishment and elimination, so that it remains vital and health-producing in the physical body. Prana may become weak, congested or excessive as a result of lifestyle, diet, mental, or external causes. Healing herbalized oils are applied to the body during this treatment. Very energizing.
Acupressure/Shiatsu
A Chinese style of bodywork that applies pressure to specific points on the body using the fingers, knuckles, and palms (and sometimes the elbows and feet) to relieve pain, reduce stress and promote general good health. Treatment can be incorporated into a massage or done fully clothed on a mat on the floor.
Hot Stone Massage
This special treatment combines traditional massage techniques with ancient Ayurvedic healing principals. Ocean tumbled stones are warmed in water scented with essential oils and then placed along the chakras of the body encouraging groundedness and balance. Additional warmed oiled stones are incorporated into the massage which gently releases tension from the body, mind and spirit.
Lomi Lomi Massage
A unique healing massage derived from the ancient master healers of Hawaii. Your practitioner will be fully focused on flowing energy, releasing blockages whilst giving the energy new direction. Combined with long continuous, flowing strokes, using loving hands and loving heart, the loving touch will relax your entire being, assisting letting go of old beliefs, patterns and behaviors that cause limitations in the body.
Thai Massage
Feel energized and relaxed with this more rigorous form of massage. Clients are fully clothed and lie on a mat on the floor. Your therapist will use their hands, knees, legs and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches. This massage is also called "Lazy Man's Yoga", because people feel they are doing yoga without doing any work. Muscle compression, joint mobilization, and acupressure are also used during this treatment. A few benefits include relaxation, reduced sress, improved circulation, increased energy, increased flexibility, improved range of motion, and it centers your mind and body.
AhhShiatsu Barefoot Massage
This treatment utilizes deep compression effleurage strokes that glide over the body. Your therapist will be performing this massage standing on the massage table and using bars overhead for balance while mostly using their feet. This massage benefits the person seeking deeper work; for this is the deepest massage we offer. Flowing centrifugal and centripetal push, pull, pumping movements can create a structural change in chronic soft tissue damage. Stress, tension and pain reduction are just a few benefits.
Fijian Barefoot Massage
This treatment is done completely with the therapist's feet. Clients are fully clothed in soft cotton or bare skin and lie on a mat on the floor. This massage benefits the person seeking deeper work. An effective treatment for damaged, painful or tight muscles.
Pre and Post Natal Massage
Ease your physical discomforts that may accompany pregnancy with our pre-natal massage. Your body will be supported in the side-lying position and face up position. Your full body nurturing massage session will be focused on your low back, shoulders and neck. Restore balance and help your muscles adjust back to your pre-pregnancy body with our post-natal massage. Decrease soreness and promote healing as well as lessening the physical and structural stress of carrying and caring for a newborn child. Both treatments provide relaxation as well as relief from stress, tension, mental and physical fatigue.
